Popular comedian to perform in Gladesville

Comedian Jacques Barrett will be performing a three-date tour in Gladesville as part of the Sydney Comedy Festival 2025.

Barrett is a self-styled late comedic bloomer and been appearing on the Australian festival and club circuit for nine years. Now he is a headliner, known for his ability to be adaptable and for using developed characters to bring humour to sometimes difficult subjects, via social commentary.

His current show, ‘OK Bloomer’, refers to his relatively late start in comedy and about his background as a socially awkward large child. Barrett got started in comedy by doing open mic nights at The Comedy Store, starting in 2003. He did this for four years whilst he worked as a bar tender/manager during the day, before he received his first ever paid-for gig.

Comedian and actor Daniel Sloss has previously described Barrett as:

“Effortlessly hilarious, joyously dark and a God amongst cucks.”

The wider Sydney Comedy Festival is a popular event and will be running from Monday 21st April until Sunday 18th May, and Jacques Barrett is one of hundreds of acts appearing across the city during this four week comedy extravaganza. Furthermore, the festival celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2025. Festivals and events such as this are often promoted using poster printing services.

Jacques Barrett’s OK Bloomer show will be appearing at 105 Victoria Road, Gladesville, NSW 2111, from Wednesday 30th April to Friday 2nd May as part of the Sydney Comedy Festival. Tickets start from $29.
