Gladesville residents can have their kids participate in the “Lane Cove Bush Kids - My Five Senses” activity this February.
During the event, children will learn to use their senses, such as touch, sight and hearing, during the bush walk. This session is part of a series called the “Lane Cove Bush Kids”, which has been brought to the community of Ryde by the Lane Cove City Council.
Such community events can be promoted to those living within the area via flyer printing, with Flyers placed in highly visible locations like public transport stops, community centres, libraries and supermarkets.
The target audience for the event is kids aged between two to five years old during school term time, and up to 10 years old during public holidays. All children are required to be under adult supervision throughout the activity. This means that both children and adults will need to book tickets.
The bush walks are not appropriate for children in strollers, as they take place on unsealed bush tracks. Participants are advised to wear suitable footwear, such as hiking or running shoes.
Child tickets cost $10.85 each, with the accompanying adult ticket being free. Tickets can be bought on the Eventbrite website. The event will be held on Thursday, February 11th from 9.45am to 11.15am. Attendees are advised to meet at Blackman Park in Lane Cove West.
