Networking event for Gladesville freelancers and creatives

The City of Ryde, Gladesville’s local council, is bringing the Freelance Five Workshop to the community this September.

During the Freelance Five Workshop, attendees will learn the foundations of running a business that is either freelance or creative. The top five issues that are faced by many creatives, which include money, marketing, set-up and management of time, will be presented.

Participants will then be given tips on how to resolve these issues using an experience that is both interactive and fun, and time will be provided after the workshop for attendees to get to know other creatives within the local area. Business Cards are useful in networking workshops like this, as they help contacts remember each other well after the event.

The target audience for the workshop are all creatives, which include fresh graduates, hobbyists, freelancers and established practitioners within the arts industry. These individuals must either visit, live, work or study in the City of Ryde.

All attendees will be given access to a Dropbox folder containing workbooks and resources that they can to further their learning after the workshop. They will also have access to webinars that are free to support the workshop material.

To partake in the event, attendees will need access to a computer, tablet or laptop, as well as a reliable internet connection.

The Freelance Five Workshop will be held on Saturday, 18th September from 10am to 12.30pm.
