Dance workshops to take place in Gladesville

Dancique Gladesville is bringing workshops to the area for the entertainment of Gladesville youngsters during the school holidays.

The dance workshops are split into two age groups – juniors and pre-schoolers. The sessions are designed to be energetic and fun, with an opportunity for all to encounter and take some instruction in different dance styles. Genres covered include commercial jazz, musical theatre, contemporary, jazz, acro, hip hop, lyrical and ballet. Additionally, there will potentially be some art and craft exercises as a break from the physical activity.

As well as being a powerful and natural method of learning, some experts say dance can help with cognitive development, emotional maturity, and social awareness, while also providing an outlet for emotional expression. Advocates of Dancique say:

“All of the teachers are positive and fun, yet challenge the students to work hard and be the best dancers they can be.”

Dance schools will often use local printing services to produce branded dancewear, such as T-Shirts, hoodies, leggings and baseball caps.

Dancique Gladesville Holiday Workshops are taking place for juniors on Tuesday, January 28 from 10:15am until 4:15pm, and for pre-schoolers on Friday, January 31, from 11:30am until 3:30pm. Tickets cost $150 for juniors and $100 for pre-schoolers. The classes are taking place at the Gladesville Presbyterian Church Hall, 2 Pittwater Road, Gladesville.
