Community festival details announced for Gladesville area

Gladesville locals are preparing for an upcoming community event coming to the area in September.

The Moocooboola Festival is an annual event hosted by Hunters Hill Council and was first held in 1980. The festival includes entertainment and rides such as dodgem cars, a ninja run, a giant fun slide and a safari experience.

There will also be roving stilt walkers and a popular dog show.

The festival will feature a market bazaar including diverse stallholders. Attendees can enjoy varied cuisines from stallholders such as Turkish Gozleme, May’s Malaysian Hawker and Natural Pancake.

They can also purchase an array of items from stallholders, including Evolva Tea, Milnes Providore, The Attar Man and Arte Moda.

The bazaar will also include community stalls offering valuable local information. These include Hunters Hill Private Hospital, Salvation Army and Sydney Community Services.

During the event, the Hunters Hill Tri Club will host a 2km triathlon, “Run to Moocooboola”. The 2km run will take place on local streets, with marshals and a sweeper.

Organisers of community festivals can connect with printing services to advertise. Expert printers can help event organisers craft contemporary advertising that draws a crowd.

The Moocooboola Festival will take place on Sunday, September 7. The venue will be Boronia Park, Park Road and Ryde Road, Hunters Hill. The festival will go from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Travel to the festival by public transport is recommended. For more information, interested parties can visit the event's website.
