CodeSpace Education to run school holiday camps

One-day camps are being held around the Sydney area over the Easter school holidays with CodeSpace Education running a succession of interactive code camps for children.

The camps are designed for children aged between 7 and 13 and aim to teach youngsters how to be creative with technology.

The children will be involved in hands-on sessions that are both informative and entertaining and give them an idea of what it takes to create their favourite games. Classes will teach video game design, robotics and computer coding as well as logic and problem-solving activities.

Using Minecraft and Roblox, children will participate in activities such as design and programming games, code, asset manipulation and learning the basics of arithmetic operations. The children will also be able to create their own Minecraft Youtube video at the end of the day.

CodeSpace is a Creative Kids Provider approved by the NSW Government and offers a redeemable voucher to the value of $100. The voucher can be downloaded at Services NSW which can then be redeemed to cover the cost of the camp. Printing services can provide relevant materials for events such as this.

The camps will be run between the 15th and 26th April and will be held at the Uniting Church in Gladesville as well as at Bexley and The Ponds in Sydney. The cost for the camp is $99.00.
