To raise funds, a New South Wales (NSW) charity is encouraging Australians in the area to give up sugary foods for a month.
Those with a sweet tooth in Castle Hill and other suburbs are being invited by the non-profit organisation Muscular Dystrophy NSW to help raise money for charity. Not-for-profit companies and charities sometimes look to professional printing services to aid them in creating branded promotional materials for their campaigns.
Dubbed “Sugar Free September”, the 30-day event is challenging residents of NSW to give up refined and added sugar for the entire month to raise awareness and funds for adults, kids and their families who are affected by muscular dystrophy. A muscle-wasting disease, muscular dystrophy is extremely rare and currently has no cure.
Along with raising much-needed funds, the upcoming challenge is also designed to promote a healthy lifestyle and food choices that empower Australians to live longer and happier lives. Those participating will enjoy expert advice from Nutrition Australia, guidance and inspiration from the Sugar Free September squad, meal kits from renowned brand Able Foods and access to Peaches Pilates’ free-of-charge fitness program.
Sugar Free September will take place across the state from the 1st to the 30th of September. The event’s headquarters is at Muscular Dystrophy NSW, based at 80 Betty Cuthbert Drive in Lidcombe.
