Chance to showcase cuisine at major food event

Businesses from Brookvale and across Sydney’s Northern Beaches are being invited to put forward expressions of interest to be part of the 2018 Taste of Manly.

The event, which this year celebrates its 32nd year, is held over a full weekend in May and is considered the highlight of the area’s vibrant beverage and food scene.

Traditionally advertised widely via such means as colourful poster and brochure printing, the festival provides an ideal opportunity to showcase the Northern Beaches’ finest brewers and restaurants together, with some of the country’s top producers of wine.

Mayor of Northern Beaches Michael Regan said the festival is among Council’s signature attractions, adding:

“More than 100,000 food and wine enthusiasts come together for a weekend of gourmet indulgence, set in one of Australia’s most picturesque beach locations."

Mayor Regan said the festival had built up an enviable reputation, which has made it an event not to be missed by any lovers of food.

While food and beverages will be the main focus of the Taste of Manly, it will be complemented with a vibrant atmosphere that will include many activities ranging from live music to interactive attractions.

Sustainable services and products will also be on show in the Sustainability Hub.

The event will take place over the weekend of May 26 and 27.
