Residents of Alexandria who are keen on fine food matched with good wines will probably be interested in the Coxs’ Vineyard launch Dinner in October.
The launch dinner is the brainchild of Simon Cox and his wife Leah Seifert. The pair took over the running of Coxs’ vineyard from Simon’s father, Doug, in 2013. The vineyard is in New Zealand’s southernmost grape-growing area, Central Otago. It is a perfect landscape and micro-climate for producing renowned Pinot Noir. The couple now have their own Coxs’ Vineyard wine label and have continued to win prestigious awards.
On the evening, the menu will include a starter of Seared Prawn and Scallop, paired with a Coxs’ Vineyard Chardonnay, the main of Duck Confit with a Coxs’ Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019 and a dessert of Lemon Tart, paired with a Coxs Vineyard Pinot Gris 2022. The wine masterclass will be delivered by Simon Cox himself.
All wines are available to purchase at Simon Johnson, with a ten percent discount on the day of the event. Notes on wine pairings are often printed and collated using local printing services.
Coxs’ Vineyard Launch Dinner with Simon Cox is taking place on Thursday 3rd October, from 6pm until 8.30pm. The venue is Simon Johnson, 24A Ralph Street, Alexandria, NSW 2015. Tickets cost $159.22, to include the three-course meal, wine and a masterclass.
