In proximity of Banksmeadow, a club created for young people with an interest in animated television series and movies from Japan is taking place in Maroubra.
Residents of Banksmeadow aged between 14 and 19 are encouraged to attend an upcoming event called “Anime Club 2026”. Presented by Randwick City Library, the two-hour event is designed for those who have never seen an anime and superfans alike and offers a place for young people to connect with like-minded peers.
Libraries and other community centres arranging events for younger residents often consult brochure printing services for informational literature they can share with parents of interested participants to explain activities.
While the club will provide attendees with a chance to watch anime it will also include trivia, culture, games, art activities, reading manga and much more. Those participating are also welcome to come costumed as one of their favourite animé characters.
Anime Club 2026 will be held at the Lionel Bowen Library on Thursday, September 24. The event has a 4 pm start time and finishes at 6 pm with the library located at 669 Anzac Parade in Maroubra, just a couple of miles from Banksmeadow.
To attend the event, young people must be library members, however library membership is free and accessible at all City of Randwick branches during opening hours as well as online.
