Topical funny show to play in Alexandria

Improvisational comedy, or improv, is to be showcased in Alexandria by a popular duo from the Comedy News Show.

The skill of improvisation, of delivering topical funny lines at speed, is the craft well-honed by comedians Cale Bain and Ange Lavoipierre, who are part of ITS The News - Comedy News Show. During the show, they are joined by other local Sydney comics in order to deconstruct headlines and turn them into clever, satirical sketches for the appreciative audience.

Cale Bain is one of the founding directors of Improv Theatre Sydney and has been performing improv since 1988 with a guiding belief that the principles used can also help to make all our lives better. He also works in academia, teaching media and communication studies.

As well as a journalist and comedian, Ange Lavoipierre works as a technology reporter for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Her podcast, Schmeitgeist, investigates popular culture and trends of the moment.
Brochure printing is often the way that local events are advertised and find an audience, within a community.

ITS The News – Comedy News Show, is taking place on Saturday 6th April, from 8.15pm until 9.15pm, at The Improv Theatre Sydney, 44-54 Botany Road, Alexandria, NSW 2015. Tickets cost $20. This event is part of a monthly series, taking place on the first Saturday of each month.
