Sydney bike riders skill-building class to be held in Alexandria

A workshop to help improve skills and confidence when riding a bicycle around Sydney is being conducted in a few days’ time.

The Cycling in the City course is being run to make bike riding in the city a more enjoyable experience, with the day designed to help Alexandria area riders deal with common road situations they may encounter.

As part of the course, attendees will learn how to effectively plan their route in advance and how best to position themselves on the road when riding in traffic. Discussions will also be held regarding the responsibilities of cyclists when riding alone or in a group.

The course has been organised by the City of Sydney and is open to all adults and children from the age of 12. Children under the age of 18 must have an adult supervising them on the day. This and upcoming events can be advertised with Brochures or Flyers created by Stationery printers.

Participants will need to bring their own bicycle along, which will be inspected by an instructor for safety before being allowed to participate in riding sessions. It is recommended students also take drinking water and sunscreen with them on the day.

The workshop will cost $25 and will be held this Sunday, July 14 at 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Sydney Park Cycling Centre.
