Italian concept restaurant comes to Alexandria

After a decade of success in its Waterloo location, the popular Cafe Sopra has reopened in Alexandria. Keeping its emphasis on providing innovative dishes from Italy, it seems that only the location that has changed.

The popular Cafe's new home will be at the Buckland Hotel. The building has been completely transformed from the traditional pub that once stood there, and the value and atmosphere the establishment is known for are still expected to be big draws.

Restaurants with a clear European influence are nothing new to people in Alexandria of course, with the chain now having a number of branches in and around Sydney. It will, however, please many that such foods are now available on their doorstep. The staff of local firms will no doubt head there for the odd business lunch too.

The restaurant is also a great campaigner for locally produced food, with the shop area of the business a natural draw for customers wanting to eat well at home.

With the former pub now looking so different, the first visitors through the doors will be impressed with the multiple options on offer for dining. From the long bar with stools for casual snacking, to rustic family-sized kitchen tables, everyone will be catered for.

The owners will no doubt be hoping that the next 10 years bring as much first success as the first; they may even want to work with local printing companies to spread the word.
