With Christmas over and winter approaching, now is a good time to be thinking about booking an overseas holiday for later in the year. Luckily there will be plenty of inspiration on offer at the Sydney travel expo this weekend.
The show will feature around 100 exhibitors covering everything from 18-30 holidays to luxury cruises. Other stands will have information about travel basics such as insurance and foreign currency.
Throughout the weekend event there will also be a number of talks from travel experts offering inspiration, or giving advice on different types of holidays. The schedule features talks about nearby destinations such as the Pacific Islands, as well as more far flung countries such as Africa and Canada. There will also be talks on cruising and railway travel.
Many exhibitors will have used brochure printers to create colourful Booklets about their destinations or holidays, which can be taken home to help inform a decision. There is an incentive to book on the day, however, with special expo only deals. Everyone who Books and puts down a deposit will also be entered into a draw for a travel gift card worth $1,000.
Visitors from Alexandria who do not book at the event can still enter a draw to win a South African Safari simply by registering their details.
The expo will be held at the Sydney Showgrounds at Sydney Olympic Park on Saturday, February 1 and Sunday, February 2. Doors are open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on both days and entry is free.
