Outlined in the proposed Central Sydney Planning Strategy is a vision that includes additional office space, outstanding and well-designed public spaces and buildings that are greater than 300m tall.
The strategy, according to Lord Mayor Clover Moore will guide the future of recreational, residential and commercial development and boost job growth while also safeguarding some of Sydney's iconic public and heritage spaces. He said that proceeding with the processes involved in enacting the draft plan was important to the city's future livelihoods and post Covid-19 recovery, adding:
“This is our blueprint for planning done well – allowing the city to grow with new skyscrapers that protect employment space, while making sure sunlight continues to shine through to treasured public spaces including Hyde Park, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Martin Place and Wynyard Park."
Plans for new developments are often crafted with the use of local printing services.
He said the Central Sydney Planning Strategy was the result of deep research over several years and represented the most comprehensive city planning review in over 40 years.
The draft strategy will be on display for two months and those wishing to comment will have until July 10 to make their submissions.
