An up-and-coming star of the country music scene, Irish and UK-based Nathan Carter, will be playing at a local venue, attracting fans from Alexandria and the local area.
Carter was born in Liverpool in 1990 to Northern Irish parents, and has been performing since he was four years old. He moved to Ireland at eighteen.
His debut album, Starting Out, was released in 2007, and he has since gone on to enjoy five more releases, all reaching number one in the charts in Ireland.
With his cover of the song Wagon Wheel, he prevented the likes of Drake and One Direction from getting to the top of the charts. He has also performed in front of Pope Francis and regularly sells out arenas in Ireland. His latest album is Music Man, which came out in 2023.
Carter has made numerous television appearances in Ireland, including hosting his own show, The Nathan Carter Show, in 2015. He has also featured in a US PBS special, Celtic Roots Live with Nathan Carter, in order to promote his American tour in 2017.
