99 Bikes began in 2007 in Milton. The stores are billed as:
“The World’s most approachable Bike Shops”
And there are now additionally branches in New Zealand and the UK.
On the free maintenance course, attendees will learn how to assess the safety of a bike, how to clean it and how to change a tyre and a tube. Overall, this will give cyclists confidence in managing some mechanical issues and the knowledge of when to seek help. Participants will not be able to work on their own bicycles because of space restrictions, but will still have useful hands-on experience and will be getting their hands dirty.
The store is known for its friendly, attentive staff; a recent visitor to the store enthused:
“Great service all round, will purchase through 99 Bikes again and also recommend to everyone.”
Local services are often advertised as a result of brochure printing within a community.
