What's Happening in Banksmeadow, NSW…

Big ideas session details announced for Banksmeadow area

The brightest minds of one of Australia’s top universities will gather near Banksmeadow for an insightful ideas session in October.

Organised by the UNSW Centre for Ideas, the event will feature university academics, researchers and doctoral students.

Among the presenters are Professor Maria Kavallaris AM, Dr Charu Mathani and Dr Gabi Nudelman.

Each presenter will have no more than 10 minutes to explain how one concept in their chosen field has the power to change life on earth.

Topics will include medical treatments, the use of AI (artificial intelligence), light technologies, urban engineering, disaster rescue and the power of kindness.

Attendees will hear how each presenter will bring their ideas to life and explore the impact of their field on our changing world.

Letterheads help organisers of community events to craft professional and personalised advertising. A customised and contemporary letterhead encourages positive association with an organisation or brand, delivering a clear visual message about a business and its purpose.

One Big Idea will be held on Tuesday, October 14. The venue will be the Auditorium within the New South Wales State Library, 1 Shakespeare Place, Sydney, with entrance to the Library via the Mitchell Building. The presentations will begin at 6:30 PM and finish at 8:00 PM. Attendance is free. Registrations can be made through the Eventbrite website.
