A concert featuring Christmas songs will take place this summer near Banksmeadow.
Residents of Banksmeadow keen to get into the festive spirit are in luck this year. An event called the “Alexandria Christmas Concert” is offering free admission for all wishing to attend.
Organisers of free musical shows sometimes order one-sheets from reliable poster printing services that feature seasonal characters like snowmen, elves and reindeer.
The summertime celebration invites residents of all ages from Sydney’s suburbs to get together to dance and sing along to seasonal songs performed by skilled artists. For families with children there will also be free arts and crafts activities, giant Jenga, table tennis and other games along with a chance to see Santa Claus.
This year the event has partnered with Variety, a charity set up for disadvantaged children, and for every photo taken with Santa, it will receive a donation of $5. The charity will also have a stand selling merchandise and raffle tickets and offering coloured hair spray and face painting for donations.
The Alexandria Christmas Concert will now be in Alexandria Park on Sunday, December 14. The musical evening will get started at 5.30 pm and finishes at 8.30 pm and the park can be found in easy reach of Banksmeadow on Buckland Street in Alexandria.
No pets are allowed at the concert.
