A rousing Christmas event is set to take place for residents of Alexandria in the middle of December.
Hosted by Richard Higgins and Matt Kelly, also known as comedy duo The Listies, the audience will be invited to sing and dance along with Christmas carols, accompanying the music that is being provided by Soulfood Chorus, The Sticker Club, Soul Empire and Poppy Galactic & The Beat.
In addition to the popular songs, Father Christmas is also set to make a surprise appearance. To cater for children, there will be crafting activities, a giant Jenga, table tennis and other games besides.
$5 a ticket will buy a photo with Father Christmas, with proceeds going to The Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation. There will be additional raffle tickets also on sale, which are likely to be produced and donated by local Print shops.
Food will be on sale from various pop-up outlets, although visitors can also bring their own food.
To make sure the event is inclusive, there will be a quiet tent, plus live screen captioning of the events on stage and an Auslan interpreter for the whole concert.
The Alexandria Christmas Concert is taking place on Sunday, 15 December, from 6 pm until 8 pm. The venue is Alexandria Park, Buckland Street in Alexandria, and the event is free to attend.Get a Free Quote for Print
