A Mexican Fiesta will be held later this month in Alexandria.
Hosted by Gerardo Lopez, the True Taste of Mexico will offer guests the opportunity to learn about the traditions behind preparing and creating authentic Mexican dishes.
The afternoon will include an informative talk about the history of Mexican food and Gerardo will demonstrate how to cook some of the more popular dishes including ceviche with totopos, guacamole, salsa fresca and the always well-liked tacos.
Participants can also expect to be taught how to mix the perfect cocktail and create a Horseshoe Margarita using Herradura Tequila.
Guests will be able to sample the food and drinks that are created on the day and will be able to enjoy and experience the colourful and dynamic Mexican culture. This and other upcoming events can be promoted through the use of flyer printing.
Gerardo will also regale guests with his personal story on how he met his partner and together began their business based on their mutual love of traditional Mexican cuisine. He will also speak about the ancient Aztec art known as ‘nixtamal’ and how to use local ingredients to create authentic flavours.
The afternoon will be held at La Tortilleria on Saturday 14th September at midday. The cost is $120 per person and this includes all food and drink.
