What's Happening in Seattle, WA…

Winter celebrations breeze back to Seattle

The Seattle Center Winterfest is returning to the city for the entire month of December, though it gets underway before November is out.

There will be lots of free family fun activities that should appeal to everyone's tastes. One of the biggest draws will be the ice rink, where skaters of all capabilities will show off their skills. There will also be ice sculpting demonstrations at Fisher Pavilion every Saturday, along with student showcases from local groups and schools, art installations, a Menorah lighting ceremony, and, of course, food and drink for purchase.

Music will be provided by a wide variety of acts, including the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra, Balladores de Bronce, Taiko drummers, the Keith Highlanders Pipe Band, and Dickens Carolers. Guests can also ride the Winter Train and visit the turn-of-the-century village, which will take place daily from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM and has a suggested donation of $2. The month-long event will cumulate in a huge New Year's Eve party featuring entertainment from The Nines.

To make the Seattle Center more festive, organizers may choose to invest in banner printing services from their favorite print company. Banners can be of any size, shape, and color and often brighten up a venue.

The Seattle Center Winterfest is being held from November 28 until December 31. To learn more about all the activities planned, call 206-684-7200.
