Seattle shelter schedules pop-up pet clinic

Statistics show that one in four pet owners face financial barriers when it comes to providing their furry friend with veterinary care, but a Seattle activity hopes to change these numbers.

The Seattle Animal Shelter wants to make it more affordable for those in financial need to provide Fido or Fluffy with their recommended vaccinations, and it has a clinic scheduled for August. It will be a drop-in activity, and will be manned by shelter staff.

Pet parents who take advantage of the opportunity will receive free cat and dog vaccines, as well as flea treatments, deworming treatments, and also licensing and microchipping. Cat and dog food along with other supplies will be distributed, and all services and items will be available on a first come, first served basis. Everyone is advised to dress for the weather and arrive early so they do not miss out.

Humane societies, shelters, and rescue and rehoming groups give a voice to animals. A poster printing company can prepare materials that keep the public informed about clinics, fundraisers, and information sessions on offer in their local community.

This clinic run by the Seattle Animal Shelter is scheduled for Wednesday, August 20. It will be popping up at 2901 27th Avenue S, in Seattle, and it will start its first treatment at 10:00 am.
