Seattle set to celebrate Mays arrival
The Fremont Arts Council has set the date for an activity that will get spring underway in high style.
Meridian Playground, which is at 4649 Sunnyside Avenue North in Seattle, will soon be welcoming an event planned as a community builder. It will include the option to participate in a potluck meal, and all ages are encouraged to take part.
As well as the shared potluck, attendees can learn how to craft a flower headdress to wear, and there will be a crafting area set up just for the kids. Everyone can play games and enjoy the live music. In the spirit of the season, a maypole will be erected for the crowd to dance around. Drum circles, costumed performers are both on the agenda during the six-hour running time of the festivities.
Community gatherings can range from small activities to huge, festival-style celebrations, but no matter how big or small they may be, a banner printing company will be able to provide an assortment of attractive signage and decor without blowing the whole budget.
The Fremont Arts Council has scheduled its May Day event for Saturday, May 3. It will get started at 1:00 pm, and there is no registration or entry fee being charged. No RSVPs are necessary either – guests can simply show up on the day.
