Upcoming festival celebrates Asian culture
The Dragon Fest is taking place in Seattle next month for two days.
The festival is a celebration of all Asian cultures, including Chinese, Philippine, Indian, and it will take place in Chinatown.
There will be over 30 multicultural performances taking place over the two days that will include dragon and lion dances, Korean drumming, and music. There will also be Pacific Islander dances and a bhangra/Bollywood performance. There will be several walking and food tours, including the $3 Food Walk set to feature over 40 participating restaurants.
There will be martial arts demonstrations, traditional displays, and appearances by the Chinese Girls Drill Team. There will also be plenty activities for the children.
A popular part of the festival is sure to be the open-air marketplace. This will feature vendors selling all sorts of merchandise, like arts and crafts, Asian-inspired items, and food.
This annual event attracts thousands of visitors to International District in Seattle and sponsorships are available for local companies who wish to increase their visibility in the community. They will likely be mentioned in all advertising materials provided by a local poster printing firm.
Dragon Fest will be held in Chinatown and the International District from July 15 to 16. Admission is free. To find out the latest news about this festival, to become a vendor or to sponsor, call 206-382-1197.
