What's Happening in Seattle, WA…

Summer festival returns for the 55th year

The Magnolia Festival is returning to Seattle next month for three days. It is a presentation of the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce.

The festival will have activities that should appeal to every member of the family. The event opens on Friday night with a beer garden, food vendors, and a performance by the band Soul Purpose. There will also be a showing of the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ movie.

The next day will feature the children’s parade followed by the Seafair parade, musical performances from artists like the Ellis Brothers and Intelliboo, a sidewalk sale, and a youth talent show and teen festival.

The two-day art show will also open at the Magnolia Playfield. The deadline for artists to submit their work is July 22, and entry costs $15 for each piece for adults plus 20% commission. Children between the ages of 4 and 17 may enter free of charge.

The festival will also have plenty of children’s activities such as inflatable rides, magic acts, and clown performances.

Organizers provide a program to everyone who enters the festival, which may have been provided by a Seattle brochure printing company.

The Magnolia Summerfest will be held from August 5 to 7. To find out more about the festival, or to submit a piece of art, contact the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce at 206-795-4624.
