What's Happening in Seattle, WA…

September festival a date for your dairy

The Washington Artisan Cheesemakers Festival is taking place next month in Seattle, presented by the Washington State Cheesemakers Association.

The festival is set to feature the makers of artisan and farmstead cheeses. The public will have the opportunity to talk to the producers and to sample their creations. Among the cheesemakers who will be appearing at this year’s festival are Beecher’s Handmade Cheese from Seattle. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase beer, wine, and cider ,as well as try a variety of artisan foods.

The main event of the festival will be a seminar titled ‘Old World Meets New World’ about new traditions in Washington cheese making, which will be presented by Julie Powers and Garrett Abel. The seminar will be 90-minutes long and will be followed by a question-and-answer session. Tickets are $40 each or $35 with a festival ticket.

Those Seattle residents who love cheese will no doubt want to know about this festival. Organizers might invest in the services of a local stationery printing company for print advertising.

The Washington Artisan Cheesemakers Festival will be held at the Seattle Design Center on September 24 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door, and unlimited cheese samples and three drink tickets are included. For more information, visit the official event website.
