Seattle to enjoy extravagant Italian opera
Seattle residents will have a chance to enjoy the final weekend of an opera called Il Trovatore, an Italian piece full of love, revenge, and some magic.
The opera boasts elaborate sets and costumes, with over 75 performers on the stage at different times. The plot is supposed to be fun and enjoyable, and according to its website, the opera claims to have more enjoyable, recognizable songs than most other equivalents.
Performances of this piece take place at Marion Oliver McCaw Hall, which is on Mercer Street. There are a number of parking garages in the area, as well as some surface lots. Some of the lots only take cash.
If driving, guests are highly encouraged to arrive early to ensure parking, as well as to ensure time to get to their seats. Latecomers will not be allowed in until a suitable break, which is usually intermission.
Events like this often use flyer printing to help advertise. They also usually have other printed items, especially cast lists and such. First-time attendees can access the first-timers guide, which includes the dress code, a brief explanation of operas, and other information. All operas put on by the Seattle Opera have English subtitles.
The last weekend for this particular opera is January 25 and 26, with performances scheduled on both nights at 7:30 pm.
