Seattle Aquarium holds yearly fundraiser
This year marks the 28th annual aquarium fundraising gala for the Seattle Aquarium. Spash!2019 will benefit the aquarium’s mission of conservation and preserving the marine environment.
This fundraiser supports not only the aquarium, but also its goal of helping the ocean. Funds go towards cleaning the area around the aquarium and helping to preserve wildlife. The aquarium believes the health of the ocean is linked to the health of the planet, and it is possible that this topic will be discussed at the event.
The first part of the event will be held at the aquarium. At 5:00 pm, the reception and silent auction will be held at the aquarium for attendees to enjoy and participate. Attendees do have the option of doing only this section of the night, but the general ticket includes the full night.
The second part of the event will be dinner and a live auction, and will be held at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront. General tickets that include both parts of the event are $350 per person, while the silent auction/reception only tickets are $150 per person. A patron ticket is $500 per person, but comes with preferred seating, and each couple gets one VIP gift bag.
Parking around the aquarium is paid, but there are multiple lots in easy walking distance. Parking at the Marriott is also paid, and there is valet service available. This event will likely use printing services in order to have printed descriptions ready for the silent and live auction, as well as table placeholders, banners, and other printed materials from their sponsors. The event is scheduled for Friday, June 7.
