Downtown Camas will be sprucing up for spring at the end of April with a Downtown Camas Spring Clean-up & Planting Day, and will look spiffy for the Camas Plant and Garden Fair 2026 coming in early May.
Community members are being asked to bring spades, shovels, garden gloves, and wheelbarrows to clean-up sidewalks and landscape beds, weed, spread barkdust, and plant flowers. Volunteers will be meeting at Journey Church, which is at 4th and Birch, for assignments. Free boxed lunches will be available at the church before the work begins.
It will take place Friday, April 26 from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
On Saturday, May 9 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Downtown Camas will hold its annual Camas Plant & Garden Fair where thousands of residents are expected to view and purchase trees, plants, garden supplies, and art from local vendors and growers. Entertainment and live music will be provided by local talent, and food will be available for purchase. Children can enjoy activities in the Kids' Activities area and local restaurants and shops will be open for business.
Free shuttle service will be offered from Camas High School, 26900 SE 15th Street to the Camas Library from 8:45 pm to 4:00 pm. A plant holding station will be on the corner of Cedar Street and 5th Avenue.
Organizers of community events like this often arrange banner printing beforehand to help guests navigate the venue.
