The Pfall Chili Fest is taking place in Pflugerville early this November.
The festival brings together
some of the best chili makers in the area, who get to show off their skills in two different competitions: People’s Choice and Judged.
The People's Choice contest is decided by the public and there will be first, second and third prizes; each contestant must provide 15 gallons of chili which can be made in advance. The Judged competition is more stringent, there are four separate categories - Texas, Experimental, White, and Vegetarian Chili – and it all must be prepared on-site.
To test the chili, visitors can purchase 10 cups and spoons for $5.
There will also be musical entertainment, a kids' area, and vendors selling food and merchandise. The kids' area will have inflatables, face painting, and games all day long. Adults can take part in the jalapeno eating contest for a cash prize and youth can compete in the pickle eating contest. The pickle eating contest has two categories – ages 6-12 and 13-17 – aand also comes with a cash prize.
Awards will be handed out at the end of the day, and Pflugerville Stationery printers often provide Banners, Posters and Flyers to events like this.
