Popular art show returns to Austin with changes

The 10th annual Blue Genie Art Bazaar in Austin is taking place for six weeks starting this month.

The bazaar has made some changes this year to how it will operate. In addition to attending the show, people can also view items for sale online and have the option of picking them up or having them delivered. Many of the participating vendors this year will be totally virtual.

This is a juried art show that features a variety of handmade items like jewelry, pottery, clothing, and gourmet foods. Among those companies who will be on hand this year are Pet Studio Art, Jason Hooper Pottery, and Curious Prints.

Those not attending can also hire a personal shopper to pick out and pick up the items for them.

Additional changes to the show include timed entry so that people can keep an adequate distance away from one another; times must be reserved in advance. Also, masks must be worn by everyone entering the event.

This festival attracts people from all over the area, including nearby Pflugerville. To help spread the word, local printing services companies are asked to provide advertising materials.

The art show will be held at the Blue Genie Art Bazaar from November 13 to December 24. Hours are 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM except for December 24 when it closes at 6:00 PM. Tickets are free of charge, call 512-222-7303 to learn more.
