A race and fun run is on the way to Pflugerville, and this event is expected to draw participants from Austin as well as the rest of the surrounding communities.
The Austin Haunted Half will include both a half marathon and a run for kids, and there will also be an option for adults who would prefer less of a challenge. The runners are welcome to wear a costume, and its registration system is now accepting requests to participate.
The course planned for the day will be centered on Walter E. Long Lake, and a group of “monsters” will be wandering the route. Food and beverages will be served at the finish line, and live entertainment and a giveaway of Corporate Gifts and other prizes are on the agenda as well.
The organizers of the day explained that, to add to the fun of the occasion, they have created a team challenge. Those who sign up as a group of five or more will qualify to vie for a special prize, and the registration system can be accessed through the race’s online listing.
This chance to enjoy the pleasant October weather along with a crowd of other runners will start at 5001 Killingsworth Lane, and there are participating options for almost every age. It will hit the pavement on October 23.
