Pflugerville project crafts with pressed flowers

Pressing is a technique that may be used to preserve the beauty of flowers, and a Pflugerville activity will use them to create pieces of handmade floral decor.

The Pflugerville Public Library will open the registration system for its Framed Pressed Flowers class in its Home Makers program in early April. It is intended for adults that would like to attend a crafting activity but, due to health or mobility issues, can’t do so in person.

Those who register for the session can either pick up their kit of supplies curbside at the library, or they can make arrangements to have it delivered to their home. They will be working with pressed flowers as well as a mini glass frame, and all of the materials will be included. A pre-recorded video will be uploaded to YouTube for them to follow, and they will remain up so that they can work on their project when their schedule allows.

The listing for the class explains that anyone who needs an accommodation to be able to participate can contact the library to discuss possible options. A flyer printing company can prepare printed sheets of instructions and the materials for an organized activity.

The Pflugerville Public Library located at 1008 W. Pfluger Street will open its registration system for its Framed Pressed Flowers session on April 7th. The kits can be picked up or delivered until April 21st.
