Pflugerville plans public plant swap

A plant swap provides a fun and thrifty way for gardeners to score some new items for their personal plantings, and one of these activities will be on offer at the Pflugerville Public Library.

The library has organized a September plant swap, and it will take place at its West Pfluger Street branch. The public is invited to take advantage of the opportunity to pass along any surplus seeds, plants, pots or other items, and while it will be a ticketed activity, children will not need a pass to attend along with a parent or guardian.

When they arrive at the venue, the swappers will be asked to leave the items they brought on the table provided, and staff will announce when it's time for the activity to begin. The attendees are asked to swap fairly, and not just grab items from the other participants. Those who arrive early will have access to the best selection, and it's recommended that everyone bring along a box so it will be easy to carry their finds home with them.

A plant swap or other event planned with gardeners in mind may attract a lot of attention from the gardening public. A poster printing company can lend a hand by preparing themed marketing materials.

The Pflugerville Public Library will be welcoming seed swappers for this fun event planned for September 7th. It will be running from 9:30 am until 10:30 am.
