Pflugerville seniors who would like to live their best lives will want to among the attendance at an event geared towards them.
The city will be the location for the Central Texas Seniors Conference, which is scheduled for early May. It will run throughout the morning and early afternoon, and to thank everyone for coming out, a complimentary lunch will be served.
The plans for the day include complementary health screenings courtesy of healthcare staff of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, and there will be information tables and displays to browse through as well. Two workshops will be held, and they will explore topics such as medication management and navigating the world of veterans’ benefits, social security, and Medicare. During the lunch break, a panel of subject matter experts will discuss issues related to housing for older adults.
Expos, trade shows, and conferences give those who are interested in a particular topic an opportunity to learn a lot in a small amount of time. Brochure printing services for companies and not-for-profit groups that set up shop in one of these activities will be available at area Print shops.
This day dedicated to helping older adults enjoy their golden years will be on offer on Thursday, May 4. It will be taking place at 1214 Pfennig Lane in Pflugerville.
