Pflugerville Pfishing day to be family affair

Lake Pflugerville provides its home city with a wealth of recreational opportunities, and one of these will be on full display as part of the community's springtime schedule.

The city has scheduled its Pfishing Day at Lake Pflugerville for this June, and it will combine fun with some friendly competition. Advance registrations are available for the activity, and those who opt to do so will save time when they check in on the day of the event.

The function will introduce kids, and their whole family, to the joys of fishing. Both bait and poles will be supplied to the junior anglers, and there will be volunteers on site to lend a hand and offer advice if needed. Those who would like to be included in the contest will need to fish from the lake’s south shore, and awards will be presented in several categories. No fishing license is required.

When planning family-friendly activities, organizers may want to order activity Books, award certificates and other customized items from area Stationery printers. These can be personalized in a variety of ways, and there are items available at a wide range of price points.

This opportunity for Pflugerville kids to get their feet wet when it comes to fishing will welcome families starting at 9:00 am. More details and an advance registration link are available on the Pflugerville Parks & Recreation website.
