Pflugerville gardeners offered spots at seed swap

After a long winter, many Pflugerville gardeners will be eager to get growing, and a pop-up activity may help them do so without breaking the bank.

The Pflugerville Public Library located at 1008 West Pfluger Street has organized a plant swap. Everyone can bring along their surplus seeds and other horticulture materials to trade, and the activity will be held outdoors to take advantage of the warm weather and sunshine.

People interested in getting involved in the activity can bring along any extra seeds, plants, pots, and other items to swap, and all ages may participate. As an added perk, there will be members of the Travis County Master Gardeners Association on hand to offer a horticultural clinic filled with tips and advice specific to the local area.

This activity may already be of interest to the community, and to help make it even more attractive, the first 75 individuals or families to arrive will receive a set of gardening tools. A professional printer will be able to prepare plant-related Promotional Products, such as plant tags and gardening gloves, to hand out to the participants during a horticultural workshop.

This event, which was planned with thrifty gardeners in mind, scheduled for March 18. It will be open to Pflugerville seed swappers from 10:00 am until 11:30 am.
