Pflugerville families to cast off for "Pfishy Pfun"

Pflugerville families will soon be casting their lines in an activity that will be a big catch.

The organizers of Pfishing Day at Lake Pflugerville have put together a morning of hands-on activities, and it will give those who are new to the sport a chance to get their feet wet. Fishing licenses are not required, and it will be a drop-in activity.

Families will not need to supply their own tackle and other gear, as this will be provided along with bait. The youngsters can try their hand in the youth fishing tournament, and prizes will be awarded for the top catches. Each child will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and as the entire function will be held outdoors, hats, sunscreen, and bottled water are highly recommended by the organizers.

Learning a new hobby can be a fun way for a family to spend some time together. Award certificates with a special graphic design, custom Corporate Gifts to offer as competition prizes, and other personalized items can be prepared by a local printer.

This chance for Pflugerville parents and kids to discover the joys of fishing will be running from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 1. The activity will be held at 18216 Weiss Lane, and questions or concerns can be sent via email to timothyw@pflugervilletx.gov.
