Pflugerville area fundraiser to be hairy affair

A Pflugerville area festival will once again be welcoming the public for an all-ages celebration, and guests at the function will be able to have a good time knowing they are helping their neighbors in need.

The festival, which will be marking its 27th year, will bring together an eclectic mix of music, games, food, and vendors. It is planned as a day-long event, and applications to be a vendor, sponsor, or volunteer may still be accepted if submitted now.

The day will see an assortment of bands and other groups perform for the crowd, and the attendees can do some shopping in the pop-up vendor market. Food will be on offer, and everyone can try their luck with the games. Not-for-profit groups will benefit from the proceeds, and a costume contest and “hairiest man” competition will add even more fun to the equation.

Application Forms for the costume and hairy man contest are available online. To help maximize the impact of the day, there will be festival T-Shirts for sale. These will be printed with a graphic design that has been prepared just for the occasion.

This fun way to support a variety of community service projects will be on offer at Cat Hollow Park on October 21. Admission is by suggested donation of $2, and contributions of non-perishable food will also be welcome.
