The Pflugerville Public Library has a program set up to encourage adults to curl up indoors with a good book this winter.
The Winter Reading Challenge, which is for those who are 18 and up, will run throughout January and February. It is simple to get involved, and to thank everyone for taking part, those who complete the activity will receive some special branded Corporate Gifts and other goodies packed into a prize bag.
To help everyone get started, the library has prepared a list of 20 book categories, and all that is needed is to read five titles that fit into these. It was noted that they are broad enough to accommodate most genres. There are suggestions available for anyone who needs them, and once they have completed the challenge, the lists can be submitted and prize packs will be distributed.
Developing creative programming that encourages literacy is often one of the tasks of library staff. A printer will be happy to help, and can supply a full line of poster printing and other marketing services.
The library will be running this reading challenge from January 1 to February 28. More information, including links to book lists, submission Forms, and the 20 categories that are a part of the program, can be found online. Instructions for picking up the gift packs will be sent out on March 1.
