Annual German festival returns this fall

Deutschen Pfest is taking place over three days this October in Pflugerville.

This is a family-friendly festival that will offer lots of fun activities for everyone. It features parades, a carnival and a dedicated children's area. Vendors will also be on hand to sell food and general merchandise.

The parade is set for October 17 and will take place at Railroad and Main at 10:45 AM. Before that, the children's parade will be held at 10:00 AM.

The children's area will be set up at Gilleland Creek Park and is for those aged 8 and younger. In addition to games, rides and crafts there will be a coloring contest.

Unlimited ride tickets for the carnival can be purchased for $20.

The Deutschen Pfest 5K will start at 8:00 AM on October 18 at 203 E. Pecan Street. A kids' 1K will take place at 9:00 AM.

Other activities include the Miss Pflugerville Pageant and the Little Miss Pflugerville Pageant, which will be held at the Pflugerville Recreation Center.
