Anime festival returns to Pflugerville

The annual Okashicon convention is taking place in Pflugerville for three days this July. It is presented by Texas Anime Conventions.

This event will be highlighting all things anime, as well as celebrating the role that women have played in its creation. There will be several international special guests appearing this year, including designer Hisacy of Hypercore. Other guests will likely include artists, writers and voice actors from various anime movies and television shows. Many of these guests will take part in panel discussions.

There will be JFashion displays (with JFashion being Japanese-inspired clothing), and events such as fashion shows and a swap meet mixer. There is set to be a cosplay contest for attendees aged 13 and over where people dress in their best anime-inspired costumes. An Anime RPG design contest will also be held during the three-day event.

A popular section of the convention will surely be the vendors’ rooms. Attendees will be able to purchase art, Books, CDs, and various other related merchandise. It is also a chance to meet some of the guest artists.

Pflugerville Stationery printers often provide events like this with necessary printed materials such as Posters, Banners and tickets.

The convention will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott Austin-Pflugerville from July 17 to 19. A three-day pass is $40. For the most current information and to learn more about the event, visit the official website.
