Members of the Odessa community who want to witness the excitement of the rodeo are in luck, as a sponsored competition is making a tour stop in town.
The Permian Basin Military Rodeo, which is being brought to the area by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4372, will be coming to Odessa this April. The event, which is being sponsored by the Professional Armed Forces Rodeo Association, will be a two-night experience that offers a family-friendly environment and 11 different competitive events.
The competitions will be filled with military cowboys and cowgirls who have traveled from across the nation who attend and who will showcase their skills. The money raised by attendees who come to watch the competitions will be used to support Veteran programs at the local VFW Post. Local brands can use banner printing to create colorful ads that will make hundreds of impressions each night at such events.
Organizers are seeking to add more sponsors to the event’s rolls, providing them an opportunity to support local veterans and gain positive recognition. Competitions will include Mutton Bustin’, as well as Gold, Silver, and Bronze-level rodeos.
The Ector County Coliseum, located on U.S. Highway 385 in Odessa, will be hosting the rodeo starting on Friday, April 17th, at 7:00 PM. It will continue on Saturday, April 18th. Tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks.
