West Texas residents who want to bring their favorite characters, historical eras, and worlds to life will want to mark their Calendars for an upcoming Renaissance festival in Odessa.
The First Annual West Texas Renaissance Festival has announced the official date and time for an enchanted experience this summer, bringing participants access to mirth and merriment. The festival, which is being put on by Lone Star Heart and Hide with assistance from By Arcane Jewelry, will be held across two days, giving interested individuals more flexibility to attend.
Guests can expect to encounter mermaids, knights, pirates, and more. Organizers have arranged for a comedy troupe at the festival, along with armored knights displaying feats of arms. The event’s marketplace will also feature a busy marketplace that will be open from 8:00 AM to dusk. Banner printing offers organizers a colorful way to match the fair’s medieval theme while promoting the festivities and welcoming guests.
Learning opportunities will abound, allowing interested guests to learn Viking board games, how to fletch arrows, and witness shows from Traveling Mermaid Productions. The festival will feature a family-friendly environment, and children 12 and under get free admission.
VFW Post 4372 in Odessa is hosting the Renaissance Festival starting on Saturday, June 6th, and continuing on Sunday, June 7th. Interested parties can RSVP to attend, and tickets for adults are $10 apiece.
