Video game tournament coming to Humble

PLAYlive Nation is hosting a Rainbow Six Siege Tournament at its Humble location.

The tournament will start with two ‘bombs’ placed on the game’s map. The players on the attacking team are tasked with finding a defuser and defusing at least one bomb. When the defuser is activated, it will take 45 seconds until the bomb is defused. The Attackers win if they can defuse at least one bomb or eliminate all of the enemy players.

The Defenders are tasked with stopping the Attackers from defusing the bombs. They will have to prevent the Attackers from activating the bombs’ defusers or by disabling the defuser within a 45-second window after it has been activated. The Defenders win the game by destroying a defuser after it has been activated, or by eliminating all of the Attackers before they can activate a defuser.

PLAYlive Nation is a part of the multi-billion-dollar gaming industry and is one of the largest gaming franchisors in the country. Part of its revenue comes from in-house advertising. If people want to advertise in one of its locations, its in-house graphic design team will create on-screen images.

The tournament will start on November 22 at 6:00 pm. The admission fee is $15 for pre-registration and $20 on the day. More information about similar events in other locations is available on the website.
