Jon McConnell and his friend Shane Holmes have purchased the historic Treadwell Building to open their business, Treadwell Coffee.
McConnell has spent years in the entertainment industry, but has always dreamed of opening a coffee shop. The mission for Treadwell Coffee is to inspire the revitalization of downtown Humble by encouraging residents to visit the area, and hopefully bring more unique businesses to join in on the rebirth.
Already home to many businesses, including locally owned mom and pop shops, McConnell and Holmes’ dream is to provide a downtown atmosphere for Humble residents that they previously had to travel to Houston to enjoy.
The Treadwell Building, named after its original owners, is a two-story brick structure that appears to have been vacant for years. Treadwell Coffee will use the first floor for the building for the café, which will also include outdoor seating on a wood decked patio. Patrons can sip their coffee and enjoy the entertainment that Treadwell Coffee will provide by hiring local artists to perform.
Treadwell Coffee will offer specialty classic espresso drinks, brewed coffees, and a variety of teas. It will also offer a breakfast and lunch for patrons to enjoy.
Although the business has not opened yet, Treadwell Coffee owners McConnell and Holmes are soliciting the support of the community to bring their dream to life. Treadwell coffee is accepting donations and offering products for sale, including promotional Drinkware and T-Shirts. All proceeds will help fund their efforts to open their coffee shop and rejuvenate downtown Humble. Sponsors will also be provided with the opportunity to promote their own businesses by having their name on the founders’ page website for Treadwell CoffeeGet a Free Quote for Drinkware Get a Free Quote for T-Shirts
