The 2nd Annual Gumbo and Etoufee Cook Off will take place in Humble after the holidays.
The Humble Lions Club will host the event at the Career and Technology Education Center. Cash prizes will be awarded for the top two winners. The top four will receive trophies, and a trophy will also be awarded to the team showing the most hospitality. A team best showmanship award will be handed out as well.
The Humble Lions Club is active in fundraising for many charitable causes. The club purchases eye exams and glasses for senior citizens and students who cannot afford to purchase them.
The club donates scholarships to the Humble and Kingwood High Schools, as well as Boy Scout troops. School supplies are also part of the donations from the Lions Club.
Other organizations supported by the Lions Club charities include the Leader Dog Program, the Houston Light House for the Blind, and the Lions Eye Bank.
Vendors are part of the event and can sign up online. A local Print company can supply the needed materials for them, such as banner printing, Flyers, Posters, and digital Business Cards.
The Lions Club welcomes sponsors for the 2nd Annual Gumbo and Etoufee Cook Off. Sponsors should complete the contract on the Lions Club website and submit with contribution.
