Humble Independent School District (ISD) institutions now have registration underway for their 2014-2015 kindergarten classes. Several schools throughout the district have also scheduled ‘Kindergarten Roundups’ or open houses throughout May.
The roundups and open house sessions are scheduled to help parents prepare their children for kindergarten and to learn about the program. Children must be five years of age by September 1 to be enrolled. Students new to the district must register online, and then their parents or guardians need to contact the school to complete the process.
Documents required to register include an original birth certificate or legal document establishing identity and age, immunization records, a parent’s driver license used for proper identification, proof of residency (such as a utility bill or lease) and, if applicable, the previous school’s address.
Humble ISD schools provide afterschool care through the Lake Houston Family YMCA, for which a fee is charged. The organization’s website has a listing of schools within the district called ‘Select a School’. Enrollment should be handled accordingly.
Often, Flyers are created to advise of upcoming activities. Flyer printing will include the entity (such as an educational facility or district), the activity involved, the location, and any other pertinent information. Flyers can then be direct mailed or distributed via select public locations.
