Humble to rodeo and cook-off for education fund

The Humble Rodeo and BBQ Cookoff will take place next month to offer two weekends of fun and tasty food while supporting a good cause.

The Humble Rodeo and BBQ Cookoff first began as simply the Humble Rodeo, which offered sports and activities from the Old Wild West. The BBQ cookoff was added to the event in 2001 and was held on the same weekend as the rodeo. Soon, however, the cookoff grew to be so popular that organizers had to eventually separate the two events to be held on back-to-back weekends. Each year, both the rodeo and cookoff raises money for Humble ISD Education Foundation.

The rodeo offers all seven rodeo events that are co-sanctioned by the (CPRA) Cowboy's Professional Rodeo Association and (UPRA) United Professional Rodeo Association. The BBQ cookoff offers an exciting cooking competition in which teams and individuals can compete against each other to see who has the best chili in several categories.

Large-scale events like this may be advertised through different methods, including flyer advertising which can be attained from local Print shops offering flyer printing services.

The Humble BBQ Cookoff will take place January 31 through February 1, and the Humble Rodeo will be held on February 7 through February 9. Each event will cost $20 and will both take place at the Humble Civic Center.
